Oritani Bank Celebrates Grand Opening of Bergenfield Branch and Donates $10,000 to the Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps

Township of Washington, NJ – May 19, 2010 – On Saturday, May 8th, Oritani Bank celebrated the Grand Opening of their new Bergenfield branch office located at 223 South Washington Avenue. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Kevin J. Lynch, President and CEO of Oritani Bank and President of the OritaniBank Charitable Foundation, presented a $10,000 donation to the Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps, which has been serving the emergency medical needs of Bergenfield residents since 1941.

OritaniBank Charitable Foundation Presents $48,000 Matching Grant to Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County

Township of Washington, NJ – May 13, 2010 – The OritaniBank Charitable Foundation recently presented a $48,000 matching grant to Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County, for funds received by them from July through December 2009 bringing the total amount raised to $96,000. These funds will help finance the current construction of housing units for hard-working, low-to-moderate income families in Waldwick and Garfield as well as a new project in Oradell.

Township of Washington, NJ – December 9, 2009 – On Tuesday, December 1st, Oritani Bank and G.I. Go Fund co-hosted the first “Northern New Jersey Veterans Career and Transition Fair” at the Teaneck Armory in Teaneck, NJ. Sponsored by the OritaniBank Charitable Foundation, the fair provided 447 veterans with the opportunity to meet face to face with representatives of 50 public and private sector employers and 33 universities and colleges.

Oritani Bank’s 2009 “Christmas in July” Food Drive to Benefit NJ Veterans and Their Families a Great Success

Township of Washington, NJ – August 18, 2009 – Oritani Bank concluded its annual Christmas in July Food Drive on August 4, 2009 with the delivery of approximately a thousand bags of food to the Teaneck Family Assistance Center at the Teaneck Armory, which is Battalion Headquarters for the 250th Brigade Support Battalion of the NJ Army National Guard. In addition, over $6,000 in cash donations collected at the bank’s 21 branches will be matched dollar for dollar by the OritaniBank Charitable Foundation.

OritaniBank Charitable Foundation Awards over $100K in Grants to Assist Local Veterans

Township of Washington, NJ – July 15, 2009 – The OritaniBank Charitable Foundation announced today that it will donate over $100,000 to help New Jersey men and women who have served in the armed services. The Foundation will allocate grants to the Wounded Warrior Project, the G.I. Go Fund of Newark, the Teaneck Family Assistance Center, and the Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Veterans, four outstanding non-profit organizations offering important services to New Jersey veterans.

Township of Washington, NJ – June 29, 2009 – The OritaniBank Charitable Foundation has announced that this year’s Annual “Christmas in July” Food Drive will benefit the Teaneck Family Assistance Center at the Teaneck Armory, which is Battalion Headquarters for the 250th Brigade Support Battalion of the NJ Army National Guard. In May and June, over 2,000 troops have returned to Northern New Jersey from tours in Iraq.
