(May 25, 2017) – The OritaniBank Charitable Foundation recently awarded $10,000 to The Mental Health Association in Passaic County, a non-profit organization located in Clifton, NJ that assists many families and individuals conquer the challenges of mental illness by providing high quality, free services to help the community in need, restore order, wellness, and confidence to their lives.

Township of Washington, N.J. (May 25, 2017) – The OritaniBank Charitable Foundation recently awarded $10,000 to The Mental Health Association in Passaic County, a non-profit organization located in Clifton, NJ that assists many families and individuals conquer the challenges of mental illness by providing high quality, free services to help the community in need, restore order, wellness, and confidence to their lives.

 Specifically, the grant will benefit the Consumer Parent Network Program, which provides assistance to adult parents with mental illness to help them cope and function in the role of parent to their children. This includes case management, referrals to additional services, advocacy for needed services, parenting workshops and one-on-one support.

 “The Consumer Parent Network Program gives parents with mental illnesses the opportunity to better themselves for their families,” said Kevin J. Lynch, President of the OritaniBank Charitable Foundation and Chairman, President and CEO of Oritani Bank. “We are proud to support a wonderful program that gives parents struggling with mental illnesses a place to cope and reinvent themselves.” he continued.

 The Mental Health Association in Passaic County believes that family should always be the top priority. This belief lead the organization to create the Consumer Parent Network Program. The program has helped families reconstruct and improve their relationships throughout the area.  In 2015 the program assisted 36 families with 66 children.
